The Glaven Historian is the journal of the The Blakeney Area Historical Society (BAHS).
All Issues except the most recent are now available online, although some of these are only accessible by members. Issues 6 to 9 are now in short supply. Remaining hard copies (and the CD for issues 1 to 5) may be available to purchase from outlets listed below whilst stock lasts. There are currently no plans to reprint Issues 1 to 9 or to provide further CDs of Issues 1 to 5.
The cost of individual journals Issues 6 to 11 is £10, Issues 12-14 £12 and the CD £10.00.
The price for the limited re-run of GH15 and for GH16 is to to be decided shortly.
If you are a current member of the Society when a new issue is published then you will receive a complimentary copy as a membership benefit.
Members may purchase additional copies at reduced rates from the History Centre.
The Journal is on sale at the History Centre in Blakeney, during opening hours, and over the counter in Cley at Crabpot Books (open daily). The current issue is also available in Blakeney at the Anchor Gift Shop in the High Street and at Holt Bookshop in Appleyard, Holt.
Crabpot Books will post copies to addresses in the UK on receipt of a cheque made out to ‘Crabpot Books’; the cost of packing and postage for individual journals is £3 and £1.00 for the CD. The address is: High Street, Cley, HOLT, Norfolk NR25 7RN and the telephone number is 01263 740218.
The society may also arrange for postage overseas but due to the extra cost involved an additional charge may be levied.
